12th March 2022
Spring is around the corner and there are more than 400,000 species of flowering plants around the world.
The 12th of March is Plant-a-Flower day and we can all have flowers around, even without a garden or outdoor space.
A lot of Houseplants have the potential of flowering but not all will do so out of their natural habitats.
Most people know flowers don’t last forever but with Houseplants, once one dies there is always the living possibility of a future new one.
Have a look at these 4 easy-flowering plants:
Called a Lipstick Plant due to its tubular red scarlet flowers. They are some of the most special and rewarding plants to keep as if kept happy they will flower quite regularly.
There are quite a few types of Lipstick Plants, with quite a broad look in terms of their foliage. The Aeschynanthus Mona Lisa specifically has a flatter and wider leaf shape.
The Peace Lily plant it is quite a famous and easy houseplant that is considered to symbolise peace, sympathy and hope in lots of different cultures. These plants are super easy to look after and when happy enough will provide you with cute white flowers!
There are several different varieties of Lipstick Plants. They all flower but the leaf shape vary.
The Aeschynanthus Rasta is our personal favourite, it has some of the most unusual leaf shape, completely curling on it self.
There are several different varieties of Peace Lilies. They all flower but the leaf size and shape vary.
This Variety has wider leaves than the Peace Lily mentioned above. It is also variegated - the white patches and speckles make it a super intrerestingplant where no 2 leaves are the same.
