The pictures of our plants show the style of plant you are receiving unless otherwise stated. As a living being, there may be some differences in the exact look and size of the plant. Height is measured from the bottom of the nursery pot until the tip of the plant, kindly allow a +/- 10% variance in size.

This plant can happily live in a semi-shaded space but absolutely loves lots of light. If you want it to grow quickly just provide it with plenty of bright light. Avoid direct sunlight.

Only water your plant when the top 3-4 inches of soil has dried out. Overwatering will kill this plant so err on the side of caution.

care tips

This plant prefers more humid environments but can tolerate normal humidity. If you can provide more humidity, it will reward you with healthier leaves.

Make sure to clean all leaves with a dry cloth once in a while – dust can affect its absorption of light. During growing season you can feed your plant once a month with a balanced fertiliser. As your plant grows, it is a good idea to prune the ends with some clean scissors, which will encourage new growth. The best part is that you can sit the ends in water to propagate new plant babies.

This plant is native from Central America and the Caribbean.
