LOVING YOUR PLANT
This Philodendron prefers moderate to bright light, avoiding direct sunlight. It hates frost and any cold temperature below 12 degrees.
This plant likes its soil evenly moist but allow it to dry out before watering. It would rather be dry than have its roots too wet. Keep it slightly drier during Winter months. Overwatering will cause yellow leaves and underwatering will make them turn brown and fall off.
This plant will tolerate average home humidity but with higher humidity conditions you can expect lush growth and shiny foliage. A way of keeping the humidity high is to group several plants together or by sitting them on a tray of pebbles and water. Misting it a few times a week with filtered, room temperature water will also help.
Make sure to clean all leaves with a dry cloth – dust can affect its absorption of light.
You can feed your plant 2-3 times during growing season with a balanced fertiliser.
Toxic for dogs and cats.
Central and South America.
