PILEA PEPEROMIOIDES 'MOJITO'
£40.00
LOVING YOUR PLANT
Pilea Peperomioides prefers bright, indirect light. Although it belongs to the succulent family, direct sunlight will burn its leaves. As the leaves follow the sun, rotating your plant every week will encourage even growth on all sides and give you a nice, rounded shape.
Water your plant when the soil is dry. Pileas don’t like too much water and will tell you when they need it, as the leaves begin to droop.
This plant loves moisture but is happy in average household humidity. If the room is dry, a way of keeping the humidity high is to group several plants together or by sitting them on a tray of pebbles and water. Mist it once a week - ideally with filtered, room temperature water as scale can create damage.
Make sure to clean all leaves with a dry cloth – dust can affect its absorption of light. During growing season, you can feed your plant once a month with a balanced fertiliser. If you notice small white dots on your leaves, they’re most likely due to salts and chemicals in your water - filtered water should help with this.
