LOVING YOUR PLANT
String of Hearts thrive in bright indirect sunlight for most of the day and some full direct sunlight either in the morning or evening, this will help with the development of its’ colour.
This plant tolerates very dry soil for some time but it will develop its best in light moist soil. Do not give it lots of water as overwatering will damage and possibly kill the plant. In winter just carefully sprinkle it with water.
We find average home humidity to be just fine. In Summer months if it gets too hot or the air is dry, you can mist your plant with filtered, room temperature water. During Winter, central heating can reduce humidity. A way of keeping the humidity high is to group several plants together or by sitting them on a tray of pebbles and water, along with misting a few times a week.
Make sure to clean all leaves with a dry cloth – dust can affect its absorption of light.
You can feed your plant once a month during growing season with a balanced fertiliser.
Not toxic for dogs and cats.
